How do car insurance companies determine the actual value of your car if it gets stolen and never recovered, or if it gets completely wrecked in an accident?
Do they go by the Kelly Blue Book value, or something else?

They quote the lowest ammount possible that will keep a lawyer from getting involved. Then they prorate that based on worn parts that would have needed replacing within the next six months, if your frech fries left grease stains in the back seat, if you pissed your pants in the accident, if your car was due for an oil change, if your car alarm is annoying, if you post more and read less, if you planned on driving again, if you own "Dude, Where's my Car" on DVD, if you have a DVD player, and if you have max rental car coverage.
Hope that helps.

Fucking Dick!
But they continue to charge you the same premiums as when the car was brand spaking new.

I think the blue book on my car is about 1500 more than I'd actually get for my car.
~thinks to self~
I wouldn't be one bit pissed if someone stole my car, why the fuck hasn't someone stolen it already. I can't even lock the fucker and it's always in the city. Somebody steals it and I get a nice little down payment on a new car.
